BFOV SPRING WEEKEND 2003
The Spring Weekend in Whitby, north east Yorkshire, was held in fine weather over the weekend of 25-27th April, 2003. Around forty members gathered for the Saturday evening dinner at the Saxonville Hotel in Whitby, where most of the visitors were staying. A coach tour across the moors on the Saturday, ably led by Doreen Newson, finished with a pub lunch at Robin Hood Bay, a few miles south of Whitby. Three Chevening scholars attended the event as guests of the British Friends of Vanuatu. Richard Dorman, Fred Samuel & Nancy Wells (both Chevening Scholars) with Saane &Geoff Stevens at the famous Whitby Abbey ruin on the Saturday afternoon tour of the Whitby sites.
