In the academic year 2002/2003 the ni-Vanuatu post-graduate students visiting the UK
were :

Nancy WELLS
(Santo - Sanma Province) was educated in primary school South Santo, Malapoa
College and completed university studies in both New Zealand and Australia where
she gained a Degree in Economics and Statistics.
While in the UK, Nancy
took a Master’s Degree
in International Relations and Development Studies at the University of East
Anglia, Norwich. Nancy left Vanuatu in late September, 2003, and on return
to Vanuatu she resumed her duties as
the
Director of National
Statistics in Vanuatu.

Michael HILIHAN (Motalava -- Banks Islands) was educated at Malapoa College and the University of
the South Pacific, where he gained a Degree in Economics. Following graduation in
1989, Michael returned to Vanuatu where he was employed at
the Reserve Bank in Port Vila. During his Chevening
year in the UK Michael was reading for a
Master’s Degree in
Economic Policy for Developing and Transitional Economies at Bradford University
in Yorkshire. He left the UK in September 2003 and returned to Vanuatu
where he took up his old post with the Reserve Bank of Vanuatu.
