A welcome Diversion from
Manchester to London
|
In July 2001 2001, the
Vanuatu journalist, Johnny Jerrety, made an unscheduled diversion from a
commonwealth press & media event in Manchester to meet up with old friends
from Vanuatu in London. Johnny is seen here holding the flag at an
informal gathering in Ashford, near to London, to mark his visit.
Seen with him, from left to right, are Norman Shackley, Alex and James
Bakeo (old school friends of Johnny from Malapoa College) Johnny Jerretty
and Christopher & Mena Shackley. Prior to and during the taking of
this picture, all pondered on that most difficult of questions -- is the
